With 3D-graphics the possibilities are endless. During my years at Spark Vision I worked for clients like Volvo, Saab, Electrolux, IKEA, Hafa, Ballingslöv and many others. We mostly focused on architectural and automotive visualization, both interior and exterior, studio aswell as outdoor. We also did a lot of product visualization.
The power of 3D compared to photography is that you can always change something after the render is done. You have the scene set up and it will never disappear. With a photoshoot you have one or maybe a couple of days until it is over, and to change something you have to redo everything, which would essentially double the costs.
Another very powerful advantage with 3D is the possibility to change attributes, like color for instance, or parts like rims on a car, in a couple of clicks. Imagine changing rims on a car inside the studio, or if you want to visualize one of your products in ten different color combinations. With 3D it's done in a matter of minutes.
